Terms & Conditions

Soberski Retreats – Terms & Conditions

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Soberski Ltd ("Soberski", "we", "our", "us"). By booking a retreat with us, you ("you", "guest", "participant") agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Soberski retreats are operated as limited, standalone experiences and are delivered in partnership with selected local suppliers and service providers.

1. Booking & Payment

A booking is confirmed once the required deposit or first instalment has been received.

Guests may either:

  • Pay the retreat fee in full at the time of booking; or

  • Use any payment plan option made available through our secure online booking platform.

Regardless of the payment method selected, the guest remains responsible for payment of the full retreat price.

A non-refundable deposit equal to 20% of the total retreat price is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your place and covers costs incurred by Soberski in planning and delivering the retreat.

Where a payment plan is selected, all instalments must be paid in accordance with the agreed schedule. Failure to make payments when due may result in cancellation of the booking and any monies already paid being retained in accordance with these Terms.

The full balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the retreat start date.

If booking within 60 days of the retreat start date, full payment is required immediately.

Soberski reserves the right to cancel any booking where outstanding balances remain unpaid by the due date.

2. Pricing

Prices are stated per person and are based on either shared occupancy or single occupancy, as selected during booking.

Prices include accommodation, in-resort catering, scheduled workshops, wellness sessions and activities detailed within the published itinerary.

Unless specifically stated, prices do not include:

  • Travel to and from the resort;

  • Lift passes;

  • Ski or snowboard equipment hire;

  • Travel or medical insurance;

  • Personal expenses;

  • Any optional activities not included within the itinerary.

All prices are quoted in Pounds Sterling (£).

3. Cancellations by You

All cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@soberski.co.uk.

Due to the limited number of places available and the fixed costs involved in operating each retreat, the following cancellation charges apply:

  • More than 90 days before the retreat start date: loss of the non-refundable deposit (20% of the total retreat price);

  • 61–90 days before the retreat start date: 50% of the total retreat price;

  • 31–60 days before the retreat start date: 75% of the total retreat price;

  • 30 days or less before the retreat start date: 100% of the total retreat price.

If a guest books using a payment plan and subsequently cancels, the cancellation charges above shall apply to the total retreat price and not merely to the amount already paid.

No refund will be given for late arrival, early departure, unused services or failure to attend.

Guests are strongly advised to obtain travel insurance which includes cancellation cover.

4. Cancellations or Changes by Us

Soberski reserves the right to amend, postpone or cancel a retreat where reasonably necessary due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, supplier failure, extreme weather conditions, government restrictions, pandemics or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where Soberski cancels a retreat for reasons within our control, guests will be offered either:

  • A transfer to another Soberski retreat; or

  • A refund of monies paid to Soberski.

Soberski shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by guests, including but not limited to flights, transfers, equipment hire, accommodation booked independently, insurance premiums or any other third-party expenses.

Where cancellation arises due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, Soberski reserves the right to offer a transfer or credit in place of a cash refund.

5. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests.

Insurance should include, where applicable:

  • Winter sports cover;

  • Medical expenses;

  • Repatriation;

  • Personal liability;

  • Cancellation and curtailment cover.

Proof of insurance may be requested prior to the retreat.

Guests who choose to travel without appropriate insurance do so entirely at their own risk.

6. Health & Fitness

Guests are responsible for ensuring they are medically and physically fit to participate in skiing and all retreat activities.

Any relevant medical conditions, allergies or dietary requirements should be disclosed prior to arrival.

Participation in all activities is voluntary and guests are responsible for exercising their own judgement regarding their physical capabilities and limitations.

7. Guest Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow participants, staff, suppliers and property owners.

Soberski reserves the right to remove any guest whose behaviour is deemed unsafe, abusive, disruptive or likely to negatively affect the experience of others.

Any guest removed from a retreat under these circumstances will not be entitled to any refund.

Guests may also be liable for any loss or damage caused to accommodation, equipment or property.

8. Alcohol-Free Environment

Soberski retreats are designed to provide an alcohol-free environment.

Bringing or consuming alcoholic beverages within the chalet or designated retreat spaces is prohibited.

Failure to respect this policy may result in removal from the retreat without refund.

Soberski does not supervise guests outside organised retreat activities and accepts no responsibility for decisions made by guests regarding alcohol consumption during their own personal time.

9. Important Disclaimer

Soberski is not an alcohol rehabilitation programme, detox clinic or medical facility.

Our retreats are designed as adventure holidays in an alcohol-free environment, combining skiing, wellness and coaching.

Alcohol-free alternatives, including selected 0.0% beers, wines and spirits, may be available during the retreat. Guests who believe that the presence of such products may be triggering are encouraged to consult a qualified healthcare professional before booking and carefully consider whether the retreat is suitable for them.

Participation in a Soberski retreat is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric or therapeutic treatment.

Guests seeking support for addiction, dependency or any physical or mental health condition should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before attending.

10. Assumption of Risk and Liability

Skiing and mountain activities involve inherent risks, including injury, illness, property damage and, in rare cases, death.

By booking a retreat, guests acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that participation is undertaken voluntarily and at their own risk.

Soberski shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, delay or expense suffered by a guest except where caused directly by the proven negligence of Soberski.

Guests are responsible for their own safety and for the care and security of their personal belongings and equipment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

11. Third-Party Suppliers

Certain aspects of the retreat are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including accommodation providers, ski schools, guides, instructors, transport providers and wellness practitioners.

Soberski shall not be responsible for the acts, omissions or failures of such suppliers except where required by law.

12. Photography & Media

Photographs and video content may be captured during retreats for promotional and marketing purposes.

Guests who do not wish to appear in such material must notify Soberski in writing before the retreat commences and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
